How does you garden grow

Hi all,

I have a sweet little card to show you today using a very adorable Lilli of the Valley image. I have actually had this image coloured up for ages and have finally got round to making it into a card. The image is called Watering the Flowers and it just sooo cute.

I wanted this card to have a bit of a shabby feel to it and so distressed all the papers and card mats with some white acrylic paint, then wiping if off so you could still see the pattern underneath. I added lots of gorgeous WOC flowers, apart from the big one which is actually made using mini cake cases scrunched up and then the tips painted with a bit of pale blue paint. All the flowers and die cut flourishes got the paint white treatment too and I added lots of other pretty things such as the cheesecloth, lace, metal flowers etc.

I really love how this card turned out and will definately be trying this distressing technique out again.

Getting Creative

Hi all,

I have something a little different from me today, recently I spent a crafty morning around one of my friends - who has a totally different style of crafting to me which I totally love - and we had a blast playing with mount board making bookmarks & hanging plaques. I loved getting messy with the inks and playing with her stash of fabulous none cute stamps, so much so think I have since spent a fortune on those kind of stamps!!!.

My lovely and very generous friend sent me home with a fabulous large pile of mount board to play with and since then I have made a few more bookmarks trying out my new stamps and different colourways.

I made the little plaque for my crafting space in the living room (hence the green & brown colour combo) nad it currently hangs off my daylight lamp looking pretty lol.

Spotlight on me!!!!

Hi all,

So remember I said I had some super exciting news with you, well a couple of weeks ago I received an email from the lovely Mariska the DT Co-ordinator of Wee Stamps Blog. She had seen one of my Wee Stamps cards and asked if she could do a spotlight on me during the month of August. Well if you hop on over to the Wee Stamps Blog, you will see that today is my spotlight. Mariska has picked a couple of her fave cards to show over on the blog, so I thought I show you a few of my faves over here, then you can pop over there and see which ones Mariska has chosen.

Mariska also asked if I would like to guest design for them for the month of Sept and of course after about a second of thinking I said yes!!!. So I have been very busy working on some gorgeous creations to show you during Sept and I also got to play with the new releases that will be released next month too - I tell you they are adorable!!!!!

Birthday Bears

Hi all,

I have some class cards to show you today using some gorgeous LOTV stamps & papers and following a fab sketch from Sweet Sketch Sunday. We do a sketch in class every 6-8 weeks and the ladies love the freedom of choosing the papers and stamps, although I do have to work out all the measurements for them beforehand as they all like to use the same lol

The cards are kept quite clean and simple as with class only being 1.5 hours you cant really go over the top with embellies and stuff.

Also before I go - keep your eyes peeled as we are having a new release soon over at Ladybug Crafts Ink

Just saying Hello

Hi all,

I have a nice clean card to show you today, after I followed the sketch for the layout I felt that it didn't need covering up with lots of flowers and stuff so kept it nice and simple.

The image is from Some Odd Girl - Sweet Thinkin Mae and I used my new MME paper pad Oxford Lane - love the colours and patterns in this.

Not been doing much crafting lately, don't seem to find the time with the kids being off school - always something else going on around the house. I did managed to have a couple of hours colouring last night, so hopefully will get them made into cards soon - I also have a little bit of exciting news but you will have to wait a couple of weeks for that.

Time for a Tea Party

* Apologies to my teamies - I have been away on my hols and for some reason my post went into draft mode and didn't post as scheduled on Tue 6th Aug as I had planned * - better late than never I suppose lol!!!

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Lady Bug Crafts Ink, as its the summer we have another month long challenge and this month we have colour inspiration picture for you.

You can create anything you like as long as we can see the above the colours.

Here is my creation

I used the adorable image Billies Tea Party and teamed it with some lovely papers from MME. I added some pretty WOC flowers and a bit of organza ribbon topped with a metal brad.

I'm sure the other ladybugs would love it if you popped on over to the challenge blog and checked out their creations, while your there why not join in the fun too.
