Tatty Ted with love

Hi all,

I have a very simple card to show you today, this week in class I have got the ladies working to a sketch. This card has been made during one of the classes, Diane has asked me to pop this card on my blog so her daughter Beth can see it. I have used the new Tatty Ted range that I have in store and is proving to be very popular.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Stamping with Bleach

Hi all,

I mentioned in my last post that I had been getting messy with Distress Inks and Bleach with my classes. So I thought I would show you a couple of the cards today. I always make one up as a sample on the Sun night then I take my ladies step by step through with each class. By the end of the week I end up with five almost identical cards which I then sell off for Abbie's Charity at a £1 each if they are not too grubby from being handled lol!!.

Basically a piece of white card had been coloured with 2-3 Distress Inks, the image (Penny Black) has been inked up with bleach and stamped on top. This takes the colour away and produced this fabulous effect. The whole thing has then been matted onto a piece of black card and tied with Raffia before being attached to the card blank. Simple but effect dont you think?

You can stand under my umberella

Hi all,

What another fabulous day we have had today, I spent most of the afternoon lazing in the garden. This morning I taught a very messy class using distress inks and bleach, then my lovely hubby took me up town and treated me to a new PB bag. We came home and basically just sat out in the garden chillin, we did have a bit of a 'you've been framed' moment though - Rich was sitting on one of the garden chairs and I sat on his lap to give him a bit of a kiss and the bloody chair collapsed right underneath us, I couldn't get up for laughing and poor rich hurt his back. I was alright I had a soft landing lol!!! It was very funny and the kids were in histertics.
Anyway onto my card - I hope I dont put a dampner on things but I have used a very sweet SWALK image from Crafters Companion as she normally sums up what we would call April weather. Hopefully we wont see any of the wet stuff this week at least.

I believe this little sweetie will fit the bill in the following challenges

Allsorts - Sketch

Stamp Something - April Showers

Crafty Calendar - April Showers bring fourth May flowers

Send a Smile 4 Kids - April Showers

Cute Card Thursday - Weather Inspired

Also I would like to give a mention that Kerry and the girls over at LCI are having a blog hop next week to launch some new designs.

Ready Steady Blow!!!!!

Hi all,

Back today with a card made using the fabby sketch designed by Diane over at LORA Crafts Sketches. Now normally the card I make following the sketch I make using items that I actually sell in the shop, but for some reason I just went ahead and used something else today!!!!. Well what it was, was that I was dying to use my new stamp that I won last week from LCI and I knew I had promised to enter this weeks challenge using it. Then for some reason I decided to use the sketch and thought about it afterwards, so never mind but JFTR if any customers are reading this you wont find the papers or this stamp in the shop sorry!!!.

I have found a few challenges to enter this card into (thanks Diane - I saw them all on your blog)

Ladybug Crafts Ink - Celebration

Fussy & Fancy - Card for a Child

Freshly Brewed Designs - Cute & Sweet

Simon Says Stamp - Card for a Child

By the Cute & Girly - Cute & Girly

Crafts and Me - Ribbon

Thanks for popping by the blog today.

Ebay Cards

Hi all,

I have taken the plunge and put some of my latest cards for sale on Ebay. I have been thinking about this for a while and I have cards just in a box doing nothing so I thought why not!!. I fully dont expect to get anywhere near the amount a fellow blogging buddy has been getting (lucky girl) but a few quid in the coffers is better than nothing. I have started my cards off at £3.00 would you say that thats a reasonable figure?.

Anyway if you want to look at which cards I am selling the link is in my side bar or look HERE.

Thanks

Daydream believer

Hi all,

I have made today's card using a very neglected Sugar Nellie image can you believe I purchased this stamp the moment it was released and this is the first time it has seen ink. I am having a big craft sort out at the moment and have found some lovely unused stamps I had forgotten about, so I am now on a mission to use them at least once!!. I have teamed this little cutie with some MME papers from the Stella & Rose Mable collection and used the new flowers I picked up at the NEC.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Sketch & Stash - Sketch which I have rotated

Papertake Weekly - Dimension, all my layers are up on foam pads and lots of lovely dimensional flowers

I was also pretty chuffed to find out yesterday that I had won the challenge over at LCI with my coffee for 2 card. I emailed Kerry yesterday afternoon to let her know which stamp I wanted for my prize and it came in
todays post, hows that for service!!!. I chose a little cutie called Robyn with cake for my prize which I will be using in their challenge this week.

Coffee for two

Hi all,

Sorry its been so long since I last posted a card, things have been really busy here with birthdays and end of year stocktake!! and I havent had time to craft since before madams birthday. I have finally had a bit of time this morning and decided to follow the sketch over at Ladybug Crafts Ink, this is the third week in a row I have managed to complete their challenge and I am really enjoying them - seeing as I have quite a few LCI stamps too I really should put them to good use. I love this image and really wish I had more time on my hands to do this sort of thing with my friends, however my BF did take me out to lunch this week for my b'day and we had a delish chinese meal and a gorge piece of choc cake for afters yum yum!!!.

I made the flowers by die cutting 3 circles, cutting them into a spiral and then rolling them up. I have seen these on quite a few blogs lately and finally decided to have a go at them, I am quite pleased with how they turned out and think they match the flowers on my paper perfectly.

On another note we were at the hospital this week with madam, and for the 3rd time in a row she has lost weight so not too good news so are now upping the anti with her food. Dont think the poor mite could possibly eat anymore with the amount we are trying to feed her lol!!!.  They have also put her on more antibiotics as a background measure as she seems to be picking up a lot of bugs and seems off quite a few times, they taste horrible (like liquorice) and we are now into bribeing.

Anyway thought I would show you a liitle picture of something that we call FUN physio - here she is in the garden using a `Bubble Pep' . Technically it is an empty milk bottle with a piece of oxygen tubing fed through, the bottle is half filled with a soapy mixture and Abbie has to blow as hard as she can to make the bubbles come out over the top. This gives her lungs a great workout and she sees it as a bit of fun which can only be a good thing.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, hope to be back soon.

Birthday Princess Abigail

Hi all,

Sorry but my post may be a little sentimental today, 5 Years ago today our little family was made complete with birth of our gorgeous baby girl. Everything was perfect until at 1 day old she stopped breathing and had to be recussatated, at 2 days old we were told our baby was seriously ill and were given 5 mins to say goodbye before she was taken into the neo natal unit. At 3 days old our little princess had to have a life saving operation which eventually transpired into us being told the devestating news that our little girl had the life limiting condition of Cystic Fibrosis. From this point our lives changed forever, 5 years on and life is sometimes not easy with a daily regieme of medication and physio, regular trips to the hospital and a constant watchful eye on madam. Abbie is a little star always smiling, has so much energy and is such an inpsiration to all, she touches the hearts of everyone she meets and you cannot help but fall in love with her (ask anyone who has met her and they will tell you so!!). We dont know how long Abbie will be in our lives for so everyday is a bonus, we try to make each day count and take each day as it comes.

So today my little princess turned 5 and as usual she has been spoilt with presents galore and this afternoon we had a party at our local Play Barn (type thing) for her and 20 friends & family. My best friend also made her the most fabulous Princess Castle for her cake which was the talk of the party!!

Here are a few photos of today.

The knitted teddy in the picture is TED from school, this weekend he is staying at our house, we have to take him places, take photos and fill in his diary. LOL!!!

Thanks for putting up with my ramblings today, hope to be back with some cards soon.
