Cut out Flap Card

Hi all,

Another class card to show you today,  I don't have any new creations so good job I have a few of these to show you lol!!!
We are not having too good of a time here at the moment, Abigail didn't have a very good hospital check up last week, and was found to have lost weight again and her lung function has dropped right down to just 56%. Her consultant has decided she needs a 2 week course of IV antibiotics so we are gearing up and packing ready for a little visit to hospital from Monday. Making sure we have lots of things to keep her entertained as we have to have our own little
room and be kept away from others due to risk of cross infection.

Anyway these cute little cards have the cut out in the flap for the little image and then open up and for you to add your little message. The girls really enjoyed making these.

The images are from LOTV and the paper are First Edition - Floral Pavillion

I will pop instructions on when I can get round to typing them up

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Double pop up slider

Hi all,

I have found a few pictures of class cards that I have made previously with my ladies, so while I'm not particularly doing much crafting at the moment, thought I might as well show these to you.

This one is a Double Pop Up Slider, when you pull the top tab up, the little mini tab comes up too.

We gave the cards a pretty feminine feel and used some of the older LOTV cute squares for the images.

If you would like instructions on how to make these, let me know and I will try and do a little tutorial for you.

I have a few more cards to show, so will schedule them over the next week or so

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Have you heard the news!!

Hi all,

So have you heard the news, there is a new arrival over on the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog today in the form of the new release :-

Oh Baby!!!!

Their are 12 adorable images in the new release & when Kerry asked me a while ago to guest for her on this release of course I said yes!!.

To celebrate the release LCI are having a month long challenge with the theme

Baby Baby

Now their isn't an actual hop (not if you dont want to) but over the course of the month each DT & GDT will be choosing 2 commentors each to win one of the new release images. So if you do want to pop over to each members blog and leave a comment you will be in with lots of chances of winning!!

So here is my card, I was given Baby Billies Pram to work with and - well it is just adorable!!

I chose to make a girl card, as Oliver's teacher's partner - who used to be Abbies teacher before she went on maternity leave have just had a gorgeous baby girl - Ava Lilly. So this card is for them off the kids.

I coloured the image with promarkers and used some beautiful papers from LOTV, added a few WOC flowers and lush polka dot organza ribbon.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please pop back later to see my last GDT card for The Stamp Basket

A present for you

Hi all

I'm here today as its my turn to show a bit of inspiration over on The Stamp Basket Blog. I have just one more week left as a Guest DT with Janet & the girls and next week my last card may well be a little bit festive!!

Oh boy has it taken me ages to get this card posted up today, my laptop is still not fixed so have had to pinch my sons tablet and figure that out- its not much fun typing with one finger either lol!!!!.

I have to say I have enjoyed having time off this last week or so and not feeling stressed about crafting - the down side is that I have been finding lots of things to do round the house while the kids are at school - such a cleaning windows, sorting out bedrooms & wardrobes etc - but it feels nice to know that I can sit and craft only if I want to and not cause I have too to meet deadlines. Its taken me most of the week to get this card done as I just couldn't get it right so kept leaving it - I think my mojo is gonna take a while to come back - but hopefully I won't be too long with another creation, as I dont want to give up compeletely just take things a bit easy on myself.

Anyway today I have made this cute little card using the adorable Wild Rose Studio image Teddy with Gerbera - isn't he just so sweet hanging on to that massive flower for dear life lol!!!

I teamed this little Ted with some very funky papers from Bo Bunny -Surprise added some pretty flowers,  Doiley and a Memory Box Party Lantern die cut. I made a cute double bow using Red Ribbon and added some Pearls to finish.

M.I.A

Hi all,

Just wanted to pop a quick post on as to why I am MIA!!!

As most of you know I had a major operation this time last year, and though I am now a year on I still seem to be suffering with a lot of health problems. I don't seem to have much energy at the moment and was beginning to feel very pressured with the amount of time I was having to spend on DT commitments and deadlines. The time it has been taking up (making the card, blogging it, DT commenting etc etc) has been causing a few problems in my household, and I feel that I was beginning to neglect my family.

So after a lot of thought and discussion with my hubby I have decided to take a big step back from DT work & blogging. I have stepped down from my DT's with all but a couple of Guest spots I have already committed to remaining. I am hoping that this will make me feel less stressed about things, and I still want to carry on crafting, but more if & when I feel like it rather than having to work to deadlines.

So I think its safe to say that my postings may be a bit sporadic in the next few months while I sort myself out. At the moment I am really struggling to even make a card and to top it off have broken the screen on my laptop so am having to pinch Oli's tablet or use my phone to get online lol!!!

I do have a few cards made and ready to show, but the piccys for those are on my laptop and tbh I cant be bothered to re take them and load them up, so will have to wait until my laptop returns.

I am still planning on hopping round your blogs peeking at your fabby creations, and maybe I might just get my enthusiasm back sooner rather than later x

Vintage Romance

Hi all,

I have a few quick and simple cards to show you today that I have made using the gorgeous Grace Taylor papers & embellishments from Trimcraft.

I challenged myself to make some cards using just the papers & die cut embellishments without adding any stamped images.

It's quite surprising how quickly you can make a card with having to colour an image- although they may have taken a lot less time if I hadn't been watching some of my taped programes at the same time lol!!! (I have to watch my Vampire Diaries & 666 Park Avenue - when no-one else is around cause they all moan)

Fancy Front Fold Card

Hi all,

Thought I'd pop on today and show you a class card that I taught a few weeks back in class.

I found the idea on my fave place again (pinterest lol!!!) and re did the measurements - as most I find tend to be in inches - and most of my ladies like to work in cm's.

The card is called a Fancy Front Fold Card and you make it out of 1 piece of 12 x 12 paper, a few scores and folds and you are done!!.

When closed the two side cross over each other, and the card is kept closed by tucking the flap into a little pocket made at the front, which is covered by the picture. When opened up you have space for a little message.

The paper bows were created using a template that I drew

The little stamps were a past freebie with a magazine and were just the perfect size for the card - the square panels are only about 5cm sq - so you need a pretty little image to fit them.

The best thing about this too - is that the paper is folded in half to create the card so you don't really need double sided and can get away with single sided if you wish.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, hoping to get a little blog hopping done myself later, am still out of sorts and catching up on thing (inc housework) from the kids having the last 2 weeks off.
